14-acre green space with ball fields, picnic areas & BBQs, plus a playground, trail & shallow river.
Over the summer of 2024 I went to Groff Park in Amherst twice. It was a sunny Saturday morning and we were going there for my son's classmate's birthday party. The grounds were great, there was tons of food and the atmosphere was quite nice. My mother in law walked all over the place and I noticed something called the Emily Dickenson trail? The bees were everywhere and there was plenty to do. My daughter enjoyed rolling around on her roller blades while there. Unfortunately we left and got home only to find my daughter forgot her real shoes there at the party. So we had to go all the way back up to Groff park a second time. By this time another birthday party was moving in with lots of toys and gifts and birthday stuff. Luckily we found her shoes and we turned around and went home. Thanks for hosting the party Groff Park and thank you for not stealing my daughter's shoes!
Cozy under the shade of those beautiful big trees. My friends and I recently had a picnic gathering. We enjoyed the grill, picnic tables, and the open rest rooms. We went for a walk on the trail, which was beautiful! Enjoyed the brook, and the kids enjoyed the fun playground. Great outdoor day!
I love this space, it's for children but even adults can fit in as it is very large and magnificent. We can have picnics...etc
Very nice playground with splash park. My son had a blast. Very clean and close to Eric Carle museum and restaurants.
This park is amazing. I wish I lived closer. It's perfect for parents. Shaded picnic tables on the concrete with soft Astro-turf material for the kids to play on. The spray park is clean and unique and the entire area is closed in to a large degree, making it safer. Open and working bathrooms. They have a unique slide that goes down the side of a little hill and tons of grassy and shaded areas to play in. We went to a homeschool picnic and it was lovely.
My 6 yr loves this park there walking area clean bathrooms nice area to eat lots of shaded areas and the splash pad is awesome.Always a fun day there.Just had her 7th birthday there was a blast pavilion rental really good price.
Awesome place for kids. The spray park clean and big. Shade everywhere. Great for picnics. My kids loved it.
Nice park by the Fort river. Water park and playground. The Emily Dickinson trail follows along the Fort river and begins/ends at Groff park. There are picnic tables, grills, and a pavilion.
