So it was my first time there my mom's there and she means the world to me so she better get treated with utmost respect. So far so good. The front desk Lady was very nice and the rooms are very clean. My mom seemed comfortable so that all all that matters to me. I'm giving four stars because it's my mother 's first day there.

Definitely do not recommend this facility ! My father was very ill and suffered from mini strokes and had to have extra care and PT/OT to help regain his strength , he was transferred to this facility from a different facility that was not helping him whatsoever and my family was promised everything under the sun from here to make us think it was the best decision to transfer him over and it was never followed through with . From the initial day the nurses had told us 2 showers per week and NEVER received one for the first 10 days until we had to shower him ourselves . Spoke with SW and was then guaranteed they would speak formally with nurses at that unit .. another 7 DAYS went by with no shower . Nurses are not friendly and when we have to ask for clean linens / wipes & etc they would show an attitude because they didn’t like family going above and doing their jobs . We would go visit and my father would be sitting on a soiled bed in a wet depends for hours until we got there and got him cleaned up . Another private incident was a nurse named Maggie had openly spoke about my father’s confidential information at the nurses station instead of pulling my grandmother aside in a private room . My grandmother was asking her about such incident and she then raised her arms and her voice and proceeded to walk away and say “ do what you got to do “ after my grandma told her the situation was not over , a male aid then came in and took my father’s walker and said he had to borrow it and then my grandma did not feel comfortable leaving my father without a walker and she went to go look for it and the male aid had it sitting up with him at the nurses station and Maggie asked “ why does he need a walker for “ . My father was given the walker after being evaluated by PT weeks ago when first transferred . If my father truly did not need a walker , he would have never been in a short term facility . I would never suggest this facility and it was really a nightmare from start to finish !

Since the new company took over the food quality, supplies and staffing level are all unacceptable. The residents are the ones suffering. The nurses and cnas are overworked. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the good staff leave. The scheduler has no idea what they're doing. The company doesn't want to pay for adequate staffing or overtime. The administrator Jasside is non responsive and has an attitude. When you don't have adequate staff things don't get done like showers, nail trimming or getting out of bed etc. Came in today to visit my mom. Found her laying in her bed with her urine bag sitting on top of her and no blankets. She waited for at least 30 minutes for the nurse to come in and complete her tasks so my mom could get up. There's only one dedicated nurse and one floating between units and only 3 cna's for about 30 patients. Dirty bloody gauze on her end table with clean linens. The lack of cleanliness is concerning. For the past month on several occasions my mom was unable to get out of bed do to loose stools. Requested she be given immodium. Only to find they were gving her myrlax everday. Why would you give someone with diarrhea myrlax. Now they've taken the fridge and the microwave out of the dining room and put them in a small office making access for residents difficult if not impossible. Social work doesn't respond to message left. The state needs to look at what's going on at this place. I hope the state contacts me again this year for another interview.

My review is a bit mixed. My moms morning before I got there was upsetting for her. There was a lack of care until I called and spoke with the director of nursing. The situation was rectified and she had a much better afternoon. The activity department had an awesome fiddler that had all the residents smiling and singing!!

No problem today but I’ve had a few. Making doctor appointments is tough enough but having staff cancel transportation is major! It’s happened to us twice within weeks. My husband’s aides and nurses do the best they can with limited resources. Clothing has been lost even when I do his laundry. My personal experience at North was horrible years ago.

My father is in this place and seems happy enough. The staff is very friendly. The mood among the staff seems as upbeat as you could expect. While there I saw one of the nurses giving a very old woman in a wheel chair a long loving hug. There is no doubt in my mind that the nurses care about the patients and everyone is doing the best they can. a big "Thank you!" to everyone who works there. Not an easy job.

My mom moved here in the midst of this pandemic and the staff has still been able to help her feel at home. They are attentive, compassionate, loving and do the best they are able to with all the constraints that are currently in place. Is it perfect? No, but no where is. We are extremely grateful for the service and care Heritage Hall West provides our mom. UPDATE…. Mom has been here for a year now and we still feel the same. Staff have bent over backwards to fill her needs and give her a good quality of life. Our questions and concerns receive immediate attention. This has been a good move for mom and our family.

I have had many experiences with loved ones in a skilled nursing facility. Heritage Hall West by far has been the best! My Brother in law was a patient there very recently and the care and attention he received was top notch! The staff, including the Executive Director were on top of and in most cases ahead of everything at all times. I knew each day after a visit that I could leave there feeling confident that he was in very capable hands! The facility was spic and span and the caregivers were very friendly. He received Physical therapy as well as Occupational, and Respiratory therapy. The Therapy team was extremely thorough and made him feel like he was the only patient they had. Great place and the only one I would go to if need be. A+++++++
