Not what is expected and you are made to eat what ever they give you, with little or no choices. I WANT TO GO HOME. In the last 24 hours, I found that supposed to care, don't care. The administrator of the facility does not back up his word. The nurse managers best was to lie to me. The only reason I was given for not getting my afternoon medication was a shift change. After that, I was to suffer in pain for 4-5 hours and can't control the pain because of a tumor in my brain stem. They need to start doing the right thing .
Think twice before sending a loved one here. They refused to send my dad to the hospital when he needed it and I had to call 911 the second time myself. He ended up in the ICU and the facility never even contacted emergency services. I had to call emergency services and the ambulance driver said it's a good thing I did! Never will I let a lives one stay in this facility again. It's awful.
How can you claim to be a first rate facility when you are woefully understaffed. Staff turnover must be the worst around. Not only is this with CNA's but even nurses who are so disgusted with conditions following the acquisition by the new corporation. THEY ARE FAR FAR AWAY FROM A FIRST CLASS FACILITY!!!!!!
Father in-law got here on Friday ,not happy to see how beautiful looks on the outside but once you walk into the room was a shared room small and 0 privacy fist think he told me was this is not what they sold .maintenance ladys and and Indian CNA very friendly and welcoming ,not to good with others looks like they are not Capacitated very little knowledge of what they are doing. Overall not good!
I spent the last two weeks at Heritage Hall North. I had a serious fall and was transferred to this facility after a horrible week at BayState Hospital in Springfield. I have never been in a rehabilitation facility before and was very anxious. Yes, there are minor situations that caused me anxious moments but this is expected when you must depend on staff for every function experienced in a day. But, in the whole experience, I am extremely grateful for the wonderful care I received from this special group of professionals. I never encountered an unhappy or dissatisfied employee, I never was made to feel that my worries or requests were insufficient or trivial. If anyone felt that I was ringing the call button too much….no one said a thing. This wonderful and kind staff, all shifts, were gracious, professional and caring. I also very much enjoyed the friendly banter of the employees in the halls. It made me feel comforted and serene. The administrative staff, case workers, nurse practitioner , insurance coordinator, physical therapy, floor nurses, CNA’s, cleaning staff were all people that I will be appreciative of for a long time. The only unpleasant experience was the very distasteful food. I requested only salad and cold deli sandwiches. My family brought me food and the CNA’s tried to accommodate whenever possible. The poor cuisine was not enough to make my 2 weeks at Heritage Hall North disappointing. The most important part of this stay was my care and here they excelled. My husband and I thank you all, everyone, with our deep and heartfelt appreciation. Joanie and Harry Doherty
This is my husband's second time here. We were so pleased with the staff (and the food) the previous time that we requested this facility as his first choice this time. The quality of care remains excellent; they rate a 5 out of 5!
This recent experience at Heritage Hall North for rehab was outstanding. I had a poor past experience, but they certainly redeemed themselves. Many were working 16 hours shifts and I'd wake up and they came back for another. Every nurse and assistance had such passion for their job. You could tell how exhausted they were, but they always came in with a smile. The therapy team knew their stuff. I was very impressed by this entire experience. Kuddos to all who cared for me! I've been visiting Heritage Hall for a few years now. I had lunch with and brought my friend's Mom on indoor and outside walks for a couple of years before she passed. During that time I met an extremely physically limited woman and became friends with her. After my friend passed, I wrote to this lady during Covid. I have been visiting every week and have kept in verbal contact with several other residents from the last few years. I understand the hiring issue with most companies, including Heritage. The people I have interacted with have always been positive and friendly. Even the shy ones come around. I feel more incentives perhaps could be offered to have people join and stay rather than join and then leave.
